Before you wear

Latex needs a lubricant to go on. Use a silicone-based dressing aid or unscented talc. Never use oil-based products — oils degrade latex permanently.

Ease the garment on gradually. Do not pull hard against a single point, and take rings and jewellery off first. Long or sharp nails will tear latex.

Shining

Apply a silicone-based shiner with a soft cloth once the garment is on. A little goes a long way.

Washing

Rinse in warm water with a small amount of mild, unscented soap. Rinse thoroughly, shake out excess water, and hang to dry away from direct sunlight. Dry both sides.

Never machine wash, never tumble dry, never iron.

Storage

Once completely dry, dust lightly with talc and store flat or loosely rolled, in a dark place away from heat.

Keep latex away from copper and brass — contact with either causes permanent staining. That includes some jewellery, buckles, coat hooks and hangers.

Store dark and light colours separately. Dark latex can transfer colour onto lighter pieces over time.

Sunlight, ozone and prolonged UV exposure will degrade latex. So will perfume and some cosmetics.

Latex allergy

Our garments are made from natural rubber latex. Natural rubber latex can cause allergic reactions, ranging from skin irritation to, in rare cases, severe reactions.

If you have a known latex allergy or sensitivity, do not wear these garments. If you are unsure, patch-test against a small area of skin before wearing, and stop immediately if irritation develops.

If you experience difficulty breathing, swelling, or a widespread rash, seek medical attention.
